Licensure by Examination - Retest Limits (Number of times exam may be taken)

The NCBON currently has no restrictions regarding the number of times you can take the NCLEX nor how long it has been since you completed your approved nursing program to remain eligible to test. The frequency of testing is determined by National Council State Boards of Nursing. There is a forty-five day waiting period to retest. You can schedule your exam, but you will not be able to schedule a test date earlier than the 46th day after your last examination date.
